Since its founding in 1979, Hauman Technologies Corporation has been dedicated to the semiconductor and Communication networking industries. Hauman began by introducing advanced technology products from overseas producers and providing professional marketing and services to the Taiwanese market. Hauman's key businesses include sales and services of semiconductor manufacturing equipments and materials. Hauman is specialized in Management Information Systems integration and services. Hauman also helps domestic and foreign businesses with bidding, price quotations, and computer networking software services. Hauman's headquarter is in Taipei-Taiwan with branch offices in Hsinchu, Taichung, and Kaohsiung. Hauman established sales, services, and supporting centers in South East Asia, Mainland China, as well as in San Jose, the heart of Silicon Valley in California, U.S.A. to serve our vendors and customers alike.

Hauman operations consist of two main divisions, the Semiconductor & OE Division and the Communication Network Division:

  • Semiconductor & OE Division: Serves more than twenty original equipment manufacturers from EU, the US, Japan, Singapore, and Korea. This division offers products ranging from material, equipment, and automatic packaging and testing instruments, to the beginning and ending processes of semiconductor and optoelectronics manufacturing, such as wafer probers, cleaning systems, sealing machines, cutters, forming machines, machine vision systems, and high-speed fully automatic inspection systems for assembly and IC testing devices, LED and LCD process, etc.
  • Communication & Network Division: Launched in 1986, one of the pioneers in Taiwan to introduce computer networking technologies. Hauman's CND introduced hardware and software products from well-known manufacturers in the US, the most advanced region in the world for computer networking technology. The division's services include planning, marketing, sales, installation, training, system maintenance, and integration. The division serves clients throughout government agencies, institutions of higher learning, research institutes, financial institutions, and multinational corporations.

1979
  • Mr. Gunpo Peng founds Hauman, Inc. in Section 1, Chung Shan North Road, Taipei, and begins buying and selling electrical appliances, electronic products, telecommunications equipment, computers, and peripherals.
1986
  • Hauman adds computer networking systems integration, semiconductor components, and manufacturing equipment to the product line.
1988
  • Hauman completes a capital increase of NTD 5M, with capitalization reaching NTD 10M. Hauman Inc. changes the company name to Hauman Corporation, with product and service lines expanded to cover semiconductors and computer networking and telecommunications equipment.
  • Hauman's Computer Network Division wins distribution right to market networking products for US-based SynOptics.
1989
  • Hauman completes a capital increase of NTD 5M, with capitalization reaching NTD 15M
  • Semiconductor Division wins distribution right to market high-purity quartzwares for Quartz International (US), wafer prober for PWS (US).
  • Computer Network Division begins to serve as sales agent for US-based Wellfleet's networking products. Wellfleet later merges with SynOptics to form Bay Networks, which in turn is acquired by Nortel and renamed Nortel Networks. Hauman has been serving as the company's agent for the Taiwan region ever since.
1990
  • 1990 Hauman completes a capital increase of NTD 9M, with capitalization reaching NTD 24M.
1991
  • Hauman completes a capital increase of NTD 12M, with capitalization reaching NTD 36M.
  • Hauman purchases land and buildings in Chung Hwa Road, Hsinchu, and sets up Hsinchu Office.
1992
  • Hauman expands Hsinchu services by purchasing a new office building, Hsinchu Freedom Building 6B.
1993
  • Hauman completes a capital increase of NTD 16M, with capitalization reaching NTD 52M.
  • Sets up Kaohsiung Office.
1994
  • Semiconductor Division wins distribution right from Seiko Epson of Japan to sell high-speed horizontal pick and place IC test handler.
1995
  • Hauman completes a capital increase of NTD 14M, with capitalization reaching NTD 66M.
  • Hauman relocates company headquarters to Section 1, Cheng Teh Road, Taipei.
  • Semiconductor Division wins distribution right from ICOS of Belgium to market its machine vision systems and high-speed fully automatic inspection systems for semiconductor and electronics assembly.
1996
  • Hauman completes a capital increase of NTD 14M, with capitalization reaching NTD 80M.
  • Hauman purchases the Freedom Building 8B in Hsinchu.
1997
  • Semiconductors Division wins agency rights to sell dispenser units for photolithography from I.D.I. US.
  • Passes ISO 9002:1994 Certification.
1998
  • Hauman completes a capital increase of NTD 40M, with capitalization reaching NTD 120M.
  • Hauman purchases the Nobel Building in Hsinchu to serve as an employee dormitory.
  • Semiconductor Division wins agency rights to sell heat isolation pads from Hiltex Holland.
1999
  • Hauman completes a capital increase of NTD 78M, with capitalization reaching NTD 198M.
  • Hauman purchases Freedom Building 8C in Hsinchu to meet the ever-increasing demand for new employee office space.
  • Semiconductor Division wins agency rights to market real-time x-ray inspection systems from X-Tek UK, Atmospheric Downstream Plasma systems from Tru-Si, US, ionizer systems from Imprex, US, wafer reclaim systems from ISP, Singapore, and ultrasonic cleaner systems from Japan's US Mec.
  • Computer Network Division wins Taiwan agency rights to sell high efficiency routers from Juniper, US , broadband user management system from Redback, US, Internet and LAN ATM equipment from Fore Systems (later acquired by GE and renamed Marconi), and receives 3COM's "Best System Integrator" award.
2000
  • To reflect accurately the nature of the company's business and in view of developments in high-technology, Hauman Corporation is renamed Hauman Technologies Corporation. Company headquarters are relocated to the present address:

  • Semiconductor Division wins agency rights to sell diamond wafer back grinding wheel from Shinhan of Korea, radio frequency IC testing system from Roos of the US, and timing interval analyzer system from Guide Technologies, US.
  • Computer Network Division wins Taiwan agency rights to sell session-based network switching equipment from Alteon, US, Internet caching server from CacheFlow, US, and Internet backbone third-tier switching equipment from Extreme, US. Hauman also receives Alteon's "Best New WEBS Partner, Great China" award and Extreme's "Top Performing New Partner" award.
2001
  • Computer Networking Division receives "Gold Agent" title from 3COM.
  • Semiconductor Division wins agency right to sell 12 inches wafer prober from Semics, Korea., and Acoustic micro imaging system for nondestructive internal inspection from Sonoscan, US.
  • Establishes Hauman International(Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
  • Passes ISO 9001:2000 Certification.
2002
  • Semiconductor Div. wins agency right to sell Vertical IC Test handler from Rasco. Germany.
  • Stock lists on Taiwan Emerging Stock Market on May 14.
